This autumn is seeing an exciting commitment to tree planting and the CT5 Eco Group is delighted to be supporting this as part of its purpose to celebrate and save our natural world.

On November 24th Canterbury City Council (CCC) is planting 100 trees at the Swalecliffe seafront by the water treatment plant.

Through early December Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership with Kent County Council (KCC) are planting 1600 trees at Swalecliffe playing fields.

On December 10th CCC is planting 300 trees in Radfall Recreation Ground.

In addition, KCC has been busy planting several trees in the grass verges of a road in Swalecliffe in response to a request made to them. If you want to know how you can request a tree along the verge in your road click here Would you like to see more trees in Whitstable?

It’s great to see our local councils so actively involved in planting trees given that they are crucial in so many ways!
